Gregatron's POTW: RBC Heritage at Harbour Town
Like most of the golf world, you’re probably recovering from your Masters hangover. It’s time to refocus and get back to the PGA Tour regular season at the RBC Heritage. Harbour Town Golf Links is short, narrow and full of quirks. Ball strikers tend to prevail, with past champions like Davis Love III, Boo Weekley and Jim Furyk. If the wind kicks up, look for a few anxious moments on the back nine on Sunday. The average winning score is 12 under, meaning birdies will be hard to come by on the small greens.
Gregatron’s Pick of the Week: Jim Furyk
Slim Jim is back after missing out on a Masters invite last week. He’s riding a hot wave, finishing in the top-25 in 7 of 9 events this season. Jimmy gains 1.1 strokes on the field tee-to-green and is a two time winner at Harbour Town. He needs a win before the Memorial Tournament to qualify for the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach G.C. You can be sure he wants to be there.
Back to the Range Bro: Danny Willett
The Englishman is seeing a bit of a career resurgence after battling injuries and a loss of form following his 2016 Masters Victory. He’s rededicated himself to the PGA Tour this season and has logged two top-25s in ten events. He’s ranked 149th in driving accuracy and 170th in scoring average. On a course that requires precise driving and solid ball striking, this might not be Danny’s week.
