Head on down to N’awlins, y’all. The PGA Tour returns to the TPC Louisiana for a team event in the Big Easy. This is the third edition of the fourball-foursomes format, giving a breath of fresh air into an event that lacked star power and excitement in years past. Last year’s champs, Scott Piercy and Billy Horschel, shot 22 under to edge out a hard charging field. The birdies will be flying this week. Who’s got the rhythm and blues to claim the trophy?
Gregatron’s Pick of the Week: Adam Scott and Jason Day
The Aussies are fresh off strong showings at The Masters where both tried to hunt down Tiger Woods over the weekend. They’re getting some prep work in this week as potential partners during the Presidents’ Cup. Captain Ernie Els’ is building camaraderie within the International ranks and wants two of his top stars to find a groove. Jason has 5 top-tens this season, and Adam is a constant ball striking machine. Look out for the pair this week, and down under in December.
Back to the Range Bros: Colt Knost and Boo Weekley
Two loveable players on the PGA Tour, this duo is working back from injuries that plagued their last few seasons. Knost hasn’t made a cut this season, and Weekley has limited status. They’re both fantastic ball strikers, but without a few putts finding the hole I think their week will be pretty short.
