The PGA Tour returns to the home of the Golden Bear this week at famed Muirfield Village. Five time champion Tiger Woods is back in action after a MC at the PGA Championship, but he has his work cut out for him. Rory, Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth are gunning for a victory. It’ll take a score between 12 and 20 under par this week to come out on top.
Gregatron’s Pick of the Week: Xander Schauffele
The 9th ranked player in the world is on a torrid stretch in 2019. With 2 victories and 10 top-25s in 14 starts, he’s a proven workhorse. He also finished 2nd at the Masters, another favorite track of the host and course designer. Xander is a sure pick this week. He gains strokes on the field in every category, culminating in a +1.4 average. Win number 5 is right around the corner.
Back to the Range Bro: Bryson Dechambeau
The “Mad Scientist” hasn’t calculated the Earth’s rotation quite right the last few months. The last time he really popped up on a leaderboard was after his first round 66 at the Masters. He’s also missed his last 3 cuts and hasn’t posted a top-10 since the Sony Open in January. Better re-calibrate and work on that short game.
